Skyart photographs featured on four U.S. postage stamps

In 2004, the United States Postal Service (USPS) issued a special postage stamp series called “Cloudscapes” which featured various standard cloud types. Of the 15 stamps in the pane, four were from our Skyart Collection, the largest number from one source. The project was the culmination of five years of preparation and numerous shipments of slides back and forth as decisions on what to include were being perfected.

We are considering doing a limited edition fine art print set of each of the photographs depicted on these four stamps. Each numbered, signed set would be limited to 200 prints and sell for $300 a print.

If interested, please let us know and you will be placed in order on a priority list to receive them.

See our Skyart fine art prints website for more information on our print services.

Cirrostratus fibratus Cumulonimbus incus
Altocumulus castellanus Cumulus congestus

Despite an effort to draw the imagery from a wide variety of sources with a strong emphasis on domestic content, they still chose these four images from us in Canada. All photos were taken in the U.S., however. This is a significant tribute to both the extent and strength of our work and ability to capture cloud types accurately.
